Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate floor care techniques, including sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures across all areas, utilizing the correct cleaning detergents and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Conduct dusting, surface cleaning, and detailed sanitation of furniture, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces to prevent contamination.
- Manage laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens or uniforms as required.
- Use manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy objects or moving equipment to prevent injury while maintaining cleanliness.
- Maintain janitorial supplies inventory, ensuring all cleaning equipment is operational and stored properly for safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding specific cleaning needs or issues encountered during shifts.
- Support outdoor work activities such as trash removal or outdoor surface cleaning when necessary.
- Follow housekeeping management protocols to ensure consistent quality standards across all assigned areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools used in professional cleaning environments.
- Ability to handle cleaning detergents safely while following proper safety guidelines for chemical use.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, outdoor work activities, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or team members about service expectations.
- Experience in residential housekeeping or hospitality environments is a plus.
