Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans for patients in an outpatient setting.

- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
- Document patient assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems following medical documentation protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, address concerns, and foster a supportive environment for recovery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology to inform effective treatment implementation.
Requirements
- Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations.
- Strong understanding of clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices.
- Proficiency in operating physical therapy equipment and managing electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of manual therapy techniques and physiotherapy modalities.
- Familiarity with care planning processes for diverse populations such as geriatrics and pediatrics.
