Job Title: Accountant - II (Onsite, Contract-to-Hire)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Staff Accountant to join our team in Orange County. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite position ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys taking ownership of multiple accounting functions, and can confidently communicate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
- Perform month-end close processes, including account analysis and financial reporting support
- Prepare and complete account reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts)
- Process accounts payable, including vendor bills, approvals, and payments
- Manage payroll processing and related reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support audits and provide documentation as needed
- Identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (required)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes
- Experience with payroll processing and reconciliations

Compensation
