Duties
- Install various types of siding materials including vinyl, fiber cement, stucco, and metal to meet project specifications.
- Perform roofing tasks such as shingle replacement, membrane installation, and roof repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct window repairs and replacements, ensuring proper sealing and functionality for energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install materials efficiently on-site.
- Follow construction safety harnesses and comply with all workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment.
- Assist in framing, masonry work, metal stud framing, carpentry tasks, caulking, trim carpentry, and other restoration activities as needed.
- Lift heavy materials safely during installation processes and manage heavy lifting equipment when required.
- Interpret technical schematics for fabrication or remodeling projects; coordinate with team members to ensure precise execution.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate progress or issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a focus on siding installation, roofing, or window repair projects.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including the use of safety harnesses and proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Skilled in handling hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills; proficient with power tools used in roofing and siding work.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of schematics, fabrication techniques, masonry, plumbing, welding or tile laying is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills with handyman experience or remodeling background preferred.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to interpret technical instructions independently.
