Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood education.
- Utilize learning technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver interactive lessons and track student progress effectively.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities and those requiring special education support, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective conflict management and behavior management techniques, fostering a safe and respectful space for all students.
- Incorporate instructional design principles to create engaging activities that promote active learning and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to provide academic advising and support tailored to individual student needs.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents while ensuring clear communication with families about progress.
- Support early childhood development through age-appropriate activities that stimulate social-emotional growth in preschool or toddler care settings.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in elementary education or preschool settings is required, with a strong background in classroom management and lesson planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and library services is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or requiring individualized instruction, is essential.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools, LMS platforms, and instructional design methodologies will enhance your effectiveness as an educator.
- Previous private school experience or Montessori teaching background is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills are vital for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and building positive relationships with families.
