Appointment Scheduler
Head and Neck Associates is a longstanding single specialty practice with five locations throughout Orange County. We are currently seeking an experienced appointment scheduler. This is a hybrid remote position. Candidate must live in proximity to Orange County and willing to attend regular meetings and training sessions.
Duties:
- Answers multiple phone lines; directs calls and takes messages as needed
- Verifies patient information and insurance eligibility;
- Obtains Authorization information
- Directs patients to complete forms and processes patient-related paperwork
- Makes follow-up appointments for patients and calls patients to confirm appointments
- Contacts “bumped” patients and reschedules appointments as appropriate
- Performs various duties as requested
Education:
- High school degree/GED (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum:
· Previous Medical Office Experience
· Experience working with the public
Preferred:
- Call Center/Appointment Scheduling Experience in a Healthcare Setting
- Bilingual
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Able to type 25 wpm.
- Detail oriented
- Capable of working independently as required
- Preferred: Bilingual.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
