QA Lead – Tortilla Manufacturing
Hours are for Second Shift: 2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in food science, Quality, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within food manufacturing.
- Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety programs, and quality systems.
- Experience working in a high-volume production environment preferred.
Technical Skills & Responsibilities Requirements
- Lead daily QA activities and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to QA technicians.
- Monitor production processes to ensure products consistently meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Review quality data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
- Partner with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Ensure timely communication of deviations, including escalation of potential food safety or quality risks.
- Verify completion and accuracy of QA documentation and records.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP plans, GMPs, allergen controls, and sanitation requirements.
- Promote a strong food safety culture across the plant.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
