Job summary
This position is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing warehouse shipments, from receiving and stocking to picking, packing, and final invoicing. The role requires strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Shipping: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Invoicing: Generate and verify customer invoices and labels to ensure accuracy.
- Receiving: Unload delivery trucks, inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies, and compare them against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Inventory management: Accurately track and maintain inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and organize stock in designated locations.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate logs and records of all shipments using warehouse and computer systems.
- Quality control: Inspect all products for defects or damage before they are sent out.
- Operations: Operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and manual pallet jacks as needed.
- Safety and maintenance: Adhere to all safety regulations, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and report any issues to the warehouse manager.
Required skills and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency with computers and warehouse management software.
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy products.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
