Position Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials for our custom manufacturing operations and general business needs, maintaining accurate inventory and vendor records in our system, and providing hands-on support to our shipping and receiving team — including occasional local driving to pick up orders and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase materials and supplies to support custom manufacturing jobs as well as general business/operational needs
- Set up and maintain vendor records in our business system
- Set up and maintain inventory items, ensuring accurate records for materials and stock
- Manage inventory levels, tracking and reconciling stock as needed
- Drive to pick up orders, materials, or supplies from local vendors as needed
- Provide backup support for shipping and receiving functions, including receiving incoming materials and preparing outgoing shipments
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with production and operations staff to ensure materials are available when needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or a related role preferred
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems a plus (we use JobBOSS)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable using computer systems for data entry and recordkeeping
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record, required for occasional local pickups
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed to support shipping/receiving backup duties
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with vendors and internal teams
- Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
