Blue Sky Fertility has an immediate opening for a full-time certified Medical Assistant at our main clinic in Overland Park, KS.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program is required.
- Minimum of (1) year experience working as a Medical Assistant is required and
- Minimum (1) year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Experience working in women's health is preferred.
- BLS Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for examinations by gathering patient information, obtaining vital signs and collected samples as needed;
- Enters patient's documented assessment, vital signs, testing, allergy and medication information into EMR system in an accurate and timely manner;
- Ensures all patient consents have been signed;
- Provides educational instructions to patients regarding lab testing collection procedures and testing requirements;
- Performs venipuncture on patients;
- Notifies provider of any abnormalities prior to patient being seen;
- Prepares minor procedure trays and may assist providers during medical examinations and minor procedures;
- Cleans exam rooms after each patient visit using proper cleaning protocols.
- Sets up the exam room with necessary equipment appropriate for patient's scheduled appointment;
- Cleans, stocks and orders back-office supplies on a weekly basis.
- Uses proper cleaning protocols for equipment;
- May perform quality checks, recording results, maintaining logs as requested or as necessary;
- Notifies administration if equipment is not functioning properly;
- Other duties assigned as necessary;
Required Skills:
- Ability to provide empathy and compassion to patients;
- Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Exhibits a strong understanding of medical terminology;
- Provides superior customer service to all patients;
- Ability to prioritize and multitask as necessary;
- Exemplifies a team player attitude, offering help when needed;
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams;
- Knowledgeable with EMR systems;
- Follows all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
Selected candidate will primarily work at the main clinic. However, candidate may occasionally be asked to cover a scheduled absence at our satellite clinics in North Overland Park, KS and Lee's Summit, MO.
Pay Rate:
- Starting pay is from $20/hour and is competitive, based on experience.

Work Environment:
- Physical environment requires the employee to work inside in a temperature-controlled building.
- Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking; typing on keypad and viewing a computer screen;
- Sufficient strength to assist in lifting some patients;
- Tasks may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues;
