Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Fleet Manager to lead our transportation operations and optimize our vehicle and logistics assets. In this role, you will oversee the management of our fleet, coordinate transportation planning, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your proactive approach will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery across all logistics functions. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to safety regulations.
- Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) to plan routes, monitor deliveries, and improve freight efficiency.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling to streamline operations.
- Develop and implement process improvements related to fleet operations, inventory control, and logistics workflows.
- Monitor compliance with transportation safety regulations and international trade regulations to mitigate risks.
- Lead team management efforts by supervising drivers, dispatchers, and logistics staff, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Analyze data from supply chain analytics tools to identify opportunities for cost savings, demand planning accuracy, and process optimization.
- Oversee IFTA reports and work with Safety Manager on Yearly Truck inspections.
- Work with accounting to oversee our ERP program to monitor driving behavior, fuel spend etc.
- Must be Mechanically inclined.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics management with a strong focus on fleet management, transportation planning, and warehouse distribution.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory management, category management, and demand planning.
- Familiarity with shipping logistics including freight forwarding (NVOCC), 3PL providers, shipping & receiving procedures, and international trade regulations.
- Ability to utilize data analysis skills for process improvement initiatives; experience with CMMS or warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Technical proficiency in materials handling equipment such as forklifts; understanding of transportation safety regulations is essential.

Pay: $54,681.63 - $65,853.14 per year
