Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing excellent service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Support banquet services by ensuring all necessary items are clean and ready for events.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Maintain an organized dish area and ensure that all items are stored properly after cleaning.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including bussing tables and serving food, is a plus.
- Experience in catering or banquet settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is beneficial.
- A strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards in a kitchen environment is essential.
