Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate CNC machinery such as milling machines and/or lathes to produce complex parts according to technical specifications and blueprints
- Set up CNC equipment by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating machines for optimal performance
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings to determine machining requirements
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and CNC programming languages to ensure precise operations
- Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly by diagnosing mechanical or electronic problems and performing necessary repairs or adjustments
- Conduct quality inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and other measurement tools to verify part accuracy
- Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production runs, and maintenance activities in compliance with safety protocols
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in CNC machine operation, including milling machines and CNC lathes
- Experience with CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; familiarity with CAM software is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, 3D printing, and tooling selection
- Familiarity with CAD software for designing or modifying parts before machining
- Understanding of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments and machinery operation
- Skilled in using coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for quality assurance purposes
