The Internal Medicine Physician will deliver primary care services to adult patients, manage acute and chronic medical conditions, and will receive a competitive benefits package including $75k medical student loan repayment eligibility through the National Health Service Corps.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assess the physical and psycho-social health status of adult patients through medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within the internal medicine specialty.
- Manage chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease among others.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, consultations, and recommend appropriate therapeutic measures.
- Provide patient education and preventive healthcare services to adult patients.
- Provide clinical guidance to healthcare team members.
- Adhere to clinical policies, infection control principles, and confidentiality standards.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and assess medical students, if applicable.
**Qualifications:**
- Active medical license registration certificate for the state of New York.
- DEA license registration certificate for the state of New York.
- Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency program.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- American Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- CFP Authorization Number under NYS Worker’s Compensation.
- Hospital Privileges.
- Membership in professional medical organizations.
**Physical Demands:**
This role necessitates activities such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Some evening work and Saturdays may be required.
**Salary Range:**
$190,000 - $200,000
