Job Title: Retail Floor Security Assistant

Role Overview Feste is seeking a vigilant, professional, and welcoming Retail Floor Security Assistant for our Soho boutique. In this role, you will protect store assets while maintaining our high standards of customer service. You will serve as a visible presence on the sales floor, deterring theft while acting as an approachable ambassador for our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Protection: Maintain a high-visibility presence on the retail floor to deter shoplifting, employee theft, and misconduct.
- Guest Relations: Welcome customers warmly upon entry, balancing a secure environment with an upscale, inviting shopping experience.
- Monitoring & Surveillance: Observe floor activity, identify suspicious behavior, and monitor CCTV systems if required.
- Incident Response: Handle security disruptions, medical emergencies, or theft incidents calmly, professionally, and according to company policy.
- Collaboration: Partner with store management and sales associates to communicate potential risks and maintain safety protocols.
- Reporting: Complete detailed incident reports for management regarding any security breaches or safety hazards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail security, asset protection, or high-end hospitality.
- Licensing: Valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Skills: Strong observational skills and the ability to de-escalate tense situations peacefully.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with a polite and professional demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk the retail floor for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
