Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage customer payments, monitor outstanding receivables, evaluate credit risk, and support collection efforts. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash flow, and helping ensure strong internal controls.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working with financial data. This position works closely with the Financial Controller and collaborates with multiple departments to support effective financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and apply incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate accounts receivable records
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
- Perform collection activities and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances
- Review and evaluate customer credit applications using financial data and payment history
- Prepare recurring AR reports and provide insights on payment trends and collection performance
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure receivables are accurate, complete, and audit-ready
- Partner with Sales, Client Relations, and Operations to resolve account issues and support customer relationships
- Identify process improvement opportunities within accounts receivable functions
Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or a related finance role
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to accounts receivable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify trends and communicate financial insights clearly
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism
