Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic After-School Teacher to join our vibrant educational team! Responsibilities
- Supervise children in a variety of activities including homework assistance, arts and crafts, sports, and recreational games
- Maintain a safe and organized environment by enforcing behavior management strategies and classroom rules
- Plan and execute age-appropriate educational programs that promote childhood development and social skills
- Provide first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies following established protocols, including CPR and AED operation
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support
- Foster positive relationships through Christian counseling principles or other supportive approaches as appropriate
- Lead extracurricular activities such as theater productions, sports coaching, or camp-style programs to enhance children's overall experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in elementary school, camp settings, tutoring, or youth programs is highly preferred
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Excellent communication skills to engage children positively and collaborate with families and team members
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects cultural diversity and promotes emotional well-being
- Experience with teaching enrichment class such as science, art, and music is highly preferred.
