Duties
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep dish and utility areas clean and organized.
- Remove trash, sweep, and mop.
- Restock clean dishes and supplies.
- Provide basic kitchen support as needed.
Complete closing cleaning duties and follow sanitation standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, or portioning ingredients under supervision.
- Support the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain impeccable sanitation standards.
- Buss tables by clearing used dishes and assisting with food service cleanup to ensure a tidy dining environment.
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely, following proper manual handling protocols.
- Follow all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper food handling practices and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with operating kitchen equipment as needed, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food safety management.
- Strong understanding of sanitation, dishwashing techniques, and kitchen health standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies.
- Familiarity with operating commercial dishwashers and other kitchen equipment.
- Excellent knife skills for basic food prep tasks when required.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and catering experience is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently during evening and late-night shifts with a positive attitude.
