We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School Math Teacher specializing in 8th grade to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lessons aligned with curriculum standards that cover topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and higher-level math concepts such as differential equations and discrete math.
- Develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate educational technology and adapt to different learning styles to meet the needs of all students.
- Implement classroom management strategies that foster a positive, respectful environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and individualized tutoring sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching practices.
- Utilize research-based instructional design techniques to enhance lesson effectiveness and incorporate laboratory or hands-on activities when applicable for science or biochemistry topics.
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, supporting their personal growth and educational goals while maintaining compliance with educational regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to teaching science, mathematics, special education needs, or educational technology integration.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior management strategies, and curriculum implementation efforts.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and extracurricular activities that promote a collaborative school culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification for middle school education with specialization in mathematics or equivalent credentials.
- Proven experience teaching math at the middle school level; high school teaching experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, organic chemistry (if applicable), and biochemistry.
- Familiarity with instructional technology tools such as learning management systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and digital assessment platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners with varying learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with effective communication skills for engaging teenagers.
- Experience working within private or Montessori school settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards related to curriculum implementation and standardized testing procedures.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on lesson planning, research projects or laboratory activities when applicable.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
