Are you a natural leader who lights up a pool deck? FINS Swim School is looking for an Aquatics Operations Manager to lead our Atascocita team, coaching instructors, protecting lesson quality, and keeping every child safe in the water.
This position requires the ability to respond to the facility within approximately 20 minutes in the event of an urgent operational or facility issue, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You'll Do
- Coach and develop instructors in real time to help student progress to their fullest potential
- Run monthly Continuing Education Clinics
- Run our new hire training program
- Conduct formal instructor observations each quarter
- Systematically review student progression across the program
- Own safety on deck — active supervision, immediate correction of unsafe behavior
- Support hiring: evaluate candidates and recommend top talent
- Set the tone for a positive, high-energy, professional culture every shift
- Step in with families during trials, concerns, or nervous first lessons
What Success Looks Like
- 100% of new instructors complete FINS Academy
- Every instructor formally observed at least once per quarter
- 20% annual average student move-up rate maintained
- Zero safety infractions
- Visible, active leadership presence on deck during 100% of scheduled shifts
What You Bring
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- At least 2 years of swim teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of all four competitive strokes
- Sharp instincts for water safety
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to coach, correct, and lead peers professionally
- Reliable attendance and a hands-on, on-deck presence — in and out of the water
