Duties
- Manage leasing activities, including lease or rental agreement management, tenant screening, and onboarding processes.
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all regulations.
- Utilize property management tools such as AppFolio to track rent payments, work orders, and resident information efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations.
- Handle client communication with residents, prospective tenants, vendors, and team members through excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Conduct conflict management and negotiation to resolve tenant issues promptly while maintaining positive relationships.
- Coordinate property leasing efforts with sales strategies to upsell available units or amenities effectively.
- Maintain accurate filing of legal documents, contracts, and compliance records related to property management activities.
- Lead a team of staff members by providing guidance on property operations, fostering teamwork, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in property management company operations.
- Strong knowledge of property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, OneSite, and customer relationship management tools.
- In-depth understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations.
- Experience with budgeting, facilities management, property maintenance coordination, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong negotiation skills.
- Office experience including filing systems and legal administrative tasks related to property leasing or rental agreements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
