Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of both pets and their owners. This is a part time position that we are hoping will grow into a full time position. Must be neat and tidy! Clean driving record is a must! We provide the tools and product.
Duties
- Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area/Van, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services, pet care tips, and any observed health concerns. (THIS IS A MUST) We want you to build a relationship with our clients to provide the best groom possible and meet their needs.
- Handle animals safely and humanely, using proper animal restraint techniques as needed.
- Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide the best service possible.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred. Must show pictures of your grooms.
- Strong skills in animal handling, dog training, and animal restraint techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Knowledge of general animal care practices and grooming standards.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in kennel is a plus but not required.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
- Excellent driving record
