American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Longview, TX, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and a full suite of current AHA certifications.

Work setting is an Emergency Care Center (ECC) within a medical plaza
-
Night shift schedule: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
-
13-week contract with a temp-to-perm possibility
-
Blocked scheduling may be available if needed

Active RN license in TX or a compact state currently in hand

Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
-
Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; current role must be in an ED, freestanding ER, ER code, or ER urgent care setting

BSN preferred

US Social Security Number required for consideration

Active certifications must be attached — expired certifications will result in rejection

Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness

Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

Educates patients, family members, and caregivers and identifies relevant resources
-
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed

New hires complete organizational and ED-specific competency validations with a designated preceptor during onboarding

All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
