Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily courier and freight dispatching activities using transportation management systems.
- Optimize delivery routes through GPS and GIS tools to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times.
- Enter accurate data related to shipments.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve logistical issues promptly, utilizing analysis skills to identify bottlenecks or delays.
- Maintain organized documentation of dispatch activities, shipping schedules, freight movements, and incident reports for audit purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in urgent point-to-point delivery dispatch.
- Familiarity with GIS, GPS navigation tools, and transportation planning software.
- Strong understanding of freight shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL (third-party logistics) operations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally while demonstrating good phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for troubleshooting routing issues or delays using transportation data and analysis tools.
- Proficiency in data entry tasks with high accuracy.
