1099 Contractor Position – OTR Driver Wanted – 60 cents per mile, no-touch freight, hazmat required, no NYC routes. Must be out 4 weeks at a time, then optional 5 days home or run and reset on the road the whole time.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker loads, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Plan and navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity during transit
- Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered on the road
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- 2 years Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation equipment
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, load & unload procedures, and truck loading/unloading techniques
- Excellent navigation skills using GPS systems for efficient route planning
- Physical ability to handle manual loading tasks and perform vehicle inspections as required
