Job Overview
Your Home Groomer is looking for an experienced Mobile Dog Groomer to join our luxury mobile grooming team.
This position is best suited for a confident, experienced groomer who is comfortable completing full-service grooming appointments independently, maintaining a high standard of quality, and providing calm, professional care in a mobile grooming environment.
This position starts as part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as our schedule and company continue to expand.
Our mobile grooming services are priced higher than a traditional salon model, allowing commission-based groomers to earn strong income per dog while working one-on-one with clients and pets in a calmer, more controlled environment.
The selected groomer will complete paid training at an hourly rate while learning our van setup, systems, route flow, client communication standards, and service expectations. Once fully trained and ready to work independently, the position will transition to commission.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has professional dog grooming experience and is confident completing full haircuts independently
- Is comfortable grooming a variety of breeds, coat types, sizes, and temperaments
- Can safely bathe, prep, dry, clip, scissor, finish, and style dogs to a high standard
- Is confident with nail trims, nail grinding, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, and basic grooming add-ons
- Provides gentle, patient handling and knows when a dog needs a break or additional support
- Is dependable, punctual, organized, and able to stay on schedule
- Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Maintains a clean, safe, stocked, and organized workspace
- Has a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and is comfortable driving a mobile grooming van
- Takes pride in their work and values quality, consistency, and client experience
Responsibilities
- Complete full-service mobile grooming appointments independently after training
- Safely drive a fully equipped mobile grooming van between scheduled appointments
- Bathe, dry, brush, prep, clip, scissor, and finish dogs according to service standards
- Perform breed-style trims, pet trims, deshedding services, bath-and-tidy services, nail trims, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, and other basic grooming services
- Communicate professionally with clients at arrival and completion of appointments
- Monitor dogs for signs of stress, discomfort, behavior concerns, skin issues, or possible health concerns
- Document and communicate important notes to management and the team
- Keep appointments moving efficiently while maintaining safety and quality
- Keep the mobile grooming van clean, stocked, organized, clean, and ready for service

Schedule and Position Details
- Part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time as our schedule and company continue to expand
- Regular schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (open to flexibility)
- Shifts are generally 9–10 hours long
- Occasionally, one scheduled day may be swapped for another day during the week based on business needs, but availability would be confirmed first

Compensation
Training pay is $24 per hour while learning our van setup, systems, routes, and service standards.
Once the groomer is working independently, compensation transitions to commission.
Because mobile grooming services are priced higher than a traditional salon setting, groomers have the ability to earn strong income per appointment while working with fewer dogs in a calmer, one-on-one environment.
Additional earnings may include client gratuities.

Location
Our vans are based in the Westlake/Loxahatchee area and service Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Island, Palm Beach Gardens, Boynton Beach, and surrounding areas.
Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the van’s starting location and must be comfortable driving throughout Palm Beach County during their scheduled route.
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
