Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, mainly including auto-hauling trucks, and general frieght trailers. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and alignment procedures to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Repair and overhaul heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems involving hydraulics, air brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical systems on various vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
- Support heavy lifting operations and perform welding or fabrication tasks as required for equipment repair or customization.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with heavy truck repair and automotive diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Expertise in using schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery.
- Ability to perform automotive electrical system repair and HVAC servicing on diesel-powered vehicles.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing manual repairs in various environments.

Pay: $28.92 - $45.00 per hour
