Shipping/Packers are workers who prepare finished products for packaging and shipment. They do so by checking that the items they need to pack are present before wrapping them securely according to company standards or requirements, then loading up the goods on pallets ready for shipping. 1st shift hours are 6am-2.30pm. 2nd shift hours are 10am-6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Essential Duties include the following.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads shipping schedule to determine items to be moved, gathered, or repacked.
- Conveys materials and items from production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
- Records amount of materials or items received or distributed.
- Uses computer to enter records.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Pass a Drug Screen and have a Favorable Background
- Able to handle a fast-paced environment.
- A self-starter and motivated to work.
