Duties
- Assist in managing daily dispensary operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team through effective training, coaching, and employee orientation to maximize performance and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, pricing adjustments, and reporting accuracy.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
- Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism, addressing concerns promptly to foster loyalty.
- Assist in marketing initiatives and promotional activities to enhance store visibility and sales growth.
- Supervise shift management, ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles within the retail or grocery industry.
- Strong leadership skills with supervisory experience managing sales teams and overseeing daily store operations.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll, and cash handling procedures.
- Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, and retail math for pricing and sales analysis.
- Experience with recruiting, training & development, and employee orientation processes.
- Knowledge of operational management including budgeting, marketing strategies, stock control, and store merchandising.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently with exceptional organizational skills and time management.
