Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in meal assembly and ingredient handling.
- Clear and buss tables promptly during service hours to ensure a clean dining environment.
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots or crates of supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is spotless and ready for service.
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
Experience
- Prior food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key.
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation procedures, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates reliability in maintaining hygiene standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices ensures compliance with health regulations.
- Previous banquet, catering, or hotel experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
