We are seeking a Daytime RN Unit Manager to join our team at Lorien Bulle Rock, a modern, high-quality skilled nursing community in Havre de Grace, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about long-term care, team leadership, and clinical excellence.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with on-call rotation
- Status: Full-Time
- Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience)
Role Overview
The RN Unit Manager provides clinical leadership and daily oversight of a nursing unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and resident-centered care. This role partners closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes, support staff development, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of assigned nursing unit within a skilled nursing / long-term care setting
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with clinical standards and regulations
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Monitor clinical outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices
- Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and survey readiness
- Support staffing needs, scheduling, and team engagement initiatives
- Foster a positive, professional work environment focused on quality and compassion
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care
- Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and support a collaborative care environment
