Warehouse Associate
Baer’s Furniture, Florida’s premier furniture and mattress retailer, is searching for a Warehouse Associate to join our team. At Baer's, our Warehouse Associates help to ensure an optimal customer experience. Warehouse Associates maintain a clean and safe environment both in the warehouse as well as on the sales floor; interact with customers in a professional manner; and contribute in all warehouse operations and activities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Support Visual Display with furniture moves around showroom floor
- Unload furniture from Transfer truck from Distribution Center
- Handle customer pick-ups in a friendly and courteous manner
- Unpacking of items received from Distribution Center and staging in designated areas throughout the store, per Visual Display
- Ensuring all furniture fixtures and accessories are clean and neat according to standards.
- Notifying manager on any issues or repairs needed
- Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables
- Assisting in the moving of furniture as needed
- Wrapping furniture pieces for transport
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds alone, 250 pounds team lift
- Clock in and out according to Company Policy
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
- Familiarity with warehousing practices and methods
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High school degree or equivalent
