Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient service and support within a clinic setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals across various specialties. Must know how to do prior auths, referrals, ekg, and lab tests. Xray is a plus. Must pass a background check and drug screen including marijuana.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, ekg, pharmacy, and conducting basic laboratory tests.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and provide instructions for medications or follow-up care.
- Manage patient scheduling and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to clinical settings.
- Experience in patient service, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate approach to patient care with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
