IMMEDIATE HIRE NEEDED
2-day Position in Clearwater, 33762
We have a part-time weekend assignment in Clearwater working with a client that needs someone that can take care of his hygiene and ADLs in the home while the family attends to other things. Client cannot walk and will need to be transferred and lifted on the bed for diaper changes. Schedule would be from 9AM-5PM, days will be Sat-Sun times are flexible. Experience with SIB preferred. This position will require you to clock in and out on your phone.
Education High school diploma/ GED (minimum)
Experience one year experience working in a people oriented setting. Preferred experience in medical, psychiatric, nursing, teaching, childcare, and/or persons with developmental disabilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Training State Requirements (apd)
Training classes needed for position

- Apd Direct care Core competency (DCCC)
- CPR,

- Medication Administration Assistance
- Medicaid Waiver Service Agreement and its Attachments, Development and implementation of the required documentation for each Waiver service
- HIPPA,
- Incident reporting.
- Choices and Rights.
Required Documentation
- FDLE/FBI Live scan results,
- Attestation of Good Moral Character
- Local Law history from county of residence
- High School Diploma
- Transcripts or Higher Education degree/transcripts
- Copies of social security card,
- Driver’s license
- Car insurance and car registration.
Other
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must carry a valid Florida Driver’s license
- Must have a mechanically sound vehicle to carry passengers, current car registration & car insurance, a DMV may be required in some cases.
Purpose
- The primary function of this job is to teach our individuals with developmental disabilities the skills necessary to manage all areas of their lives, it is the staff person’s responsibility to teach new skills according to the individual’s goals, work as a team to ensure the individuals we serve are given the opportunity to practice skills in all areas of development and assist them with maintaining those skills.
Dress Code
Business casual attire preferred. Scrubs are acceptable in certain circumstances – to be approved by administration. Providing the type of activities planned – summer wear is acceptable. Unacceptable attire; short shorts, pants hanging below the waist, revealing or skimpy clothing, ripped or torn clothes.
Duties & responsibilities:
- These duties will include but are not limited to the following
- Ensure the individual’s right to privacy; maintain confidentiality of personal information of individual in accordance with the bill of rights of persons with disabilities and HIPPA laws.
- Team player. Mature, even tempered, cooperative, able and willing to perform duties requested
- Attend training sessions, APD sites online or as scheduled by THOL, Administration.
- Attend staff meetings as per request of Administration
- Staff is responsible for observing individuals to learn their likes & dislikes and other information pertinent to better saving them.
- Assist the individual in planning activities and participating in their community.
- Complete trainings in a timely manner. Some of these trainings are provided but some you will need to pay for and obtain on your own.
