Position Summary:
The Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role in overseeing and executing the shipment of our Yachts. This position is responsible for coordinating the entire shipping operation. From scheduling drivers to handling all the necessary documentation and prepping the boat itself for shipping. Acting as a central point of contact between production, quality, sales and the trucking companies. This role requires a strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an extremely fast paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepping the boats for shipment by protecting any fiberglass, upholstery, or paint from contact with the Transhield cover.

Applying Transhield covers with tying knots and heat torching to shrink.

Able to move boats by tractor from building to parking lot and to paint area

Must have some basic mechanical skills using various tools

Communicates the current product, process or material constraints or issues to the Group and/or Team Leaders

With minimal supervision, be able to perform daily responsibilities per specifications prescribed on the Tiara Yachts work instructions pertaining to shipping needs

Must be able to read and understand units of measure

Must be accustomed to physical tasks for long periods of time. This includes, but not limited to, standing, kneeling, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, using your hands and working with various materials

Must have basic computer knowledge and basic math skills

When asked, assists with training team members to develop job knowledge and improve performance

Maintain daily labor tracking records

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management

Will provide all necessary trainings needed to effectively do the job.
Education and Experience:

High School graduate or equivalent required

Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area. (Use safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, etc.)
