Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced baker to join our Farmer Joe's bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking techniques, food safety, and customer service. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods from scratch, maintaining inventory, and ensuring high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods from scratch.

Follow recipes to maintain consistency.

Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers.

Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate supplies needed.

Decorate and package baked goods for display and sale.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Food Handling/Safety Certification- Preferred but not required.
- Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Experience in scratch baking.
- Must be 18 years and older.

- Displays strong creative background, able to suggest alternatives, and be open to suggestion.
- Extensive knowledge in food safety, including knowledge of danger zone, temperature control, storage, logs.
- Expertise in baking.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining focus and precision
- Capability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Skilled in both gross and fine manipulation
- Peripheral vision and near/far visual accuracy
- Effectively hear and respond to instructions in a bustling environment
- Manual dexterity
- Use of step-stools and ladders as needed
- Reaching above, at, and below waist level
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and move fluidly around
- Comfortable working in diverse temperatures (hot, humid, cold) and tolerating moderate amounts of dust and cleaning agents
