About Catalyst
Catalyst is a Medical Sales Organization (MSO) built to help providers deliver better patient outcomes — without getting buried in the operational complexity that typically comes with it.
Our portfolio spans advanced wound care, behavioral health, neuropathy, and regenerative medicine. We support reps and providers with infection control, recoupment protection, billing and insurance services, virtual clinical consults, and an AI sales intelligence tool trained on every product sheet, IFU, LCD/NCD, and reimbursement workflow we use. The idea is straightforward — we handle the compliance and administrative side so the provider can stay focused on the patient.
Our culture is built around a set of core values we call We CARES — a framework that has shaped how we hire, operate, and grow. It is an environment where people tend to take on more than a typical role would allow.
Summary
The Territory Director (TD) is an experienced individual contributor responsible for sales growth across Catalyst's full product and service portfolio within a defined territory. The TD is the primary relationship owner for every account in the territory and is accountable for both sales retention and growth.
In this role, you will close new accounts, grow existing ones, lead client onboarding, present products, deliver clinical education and support, and own quarterly and annual territory planning and execution. You'll work directly with providers to identify needs and consult on best practices for wound care, behavioral health, neuropathy, and regenerative medicine solutions.
There is no management responsibility, no W2 base, and no internal reporting line below this position. Compensation is 100% variable. The role is designed for experienced sales professionals who want to run their own book of business and be paid directly on what they produce.
Position description
As Territory Director, you are an individual sales contributor responsible for the following:
Acquisition, retention, and territory management
- Meet or exceed sales quota expectations established by management.
- Manage the full breadth of Catalyst products and services within an assigned territory, including advanced wound care (skin substitutes, PRP, NPWT, collagen, membrane wraps), behavioral health remote patient monitoring, neuropathy treatment, and regenerative medicine.
- Schedule and conduct appointments with healthcare professionals, clinical administrators, office managers, and billing leads. Make regular cold calls in physician offices, wound care centers, ASCs, home health agencies, behavioral health facilities, and hospitals.
- Develop, manage, and close new accounts within the defined territory.
- Grow product sales volume within existing accounts and upsell additional Catalyst programs, services, and products into the current customer base.
- Lead reimbursement conversations with confidence — translate CPT and HCPCS codes, LCD and NCD policy, and ASP economics into a clear story the practice can act on.
- If applicable: Coordinate the partner stack — engage Shoreline Medical Administration for audit and recoupment protection, Corstrata for virtual wound care consults during the conservative care window, and other available partnerships
- Submit clean paperwork — IVRs, New Office Enrollment forms, Pricing Agreements, BAAs. Approval rates and turnaround times are tracked.
- Build and execute quarterly and annual territory business plans that maintain a strong pipeline and support overall territory growth.
- Submit required weekly reports, attend weekly one-on-ones and sales team meetings, and complete required sales and product training.
- Maintain accurate records of account visits, case activity, product inventory logs, customer feedback, and territory support using company reporting tools.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key accounts.
Personal skills and competencies
- Work closely with management, Customer Service, and Sales Operations on price quotations, pricing, orders, and customer issues.
- Drive customer satisfaction and retention through consistent, productive account calls. Resolve product ordering and IVR approval issues quickly.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and clinic administrators.
- Represent the company by consistently demonstrating and modeling the Catalyst mission and values.
Knowledge and technical skills
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Catalyst products, wound care techniques, and competitive offerings to support clinical and procedural success.
- Support staff education, product training, and in-servicing to drive proper adoption and utilization of Catalyst products and devices.
- Monitor competitor activity and competitor products.
- Adhere to all company, industry, and regulatory standards for compliance, quality, and customer interactions.
Position requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in advanced wound care product sales, with skin substitute experience preferred. Strong record of achievement required.
- Experience selling into physician offices, wound care centers, ASCs, and/or hospitals.
- Professional sales experience with formal sales training preferred.
- Proven goal-oriented self-starter with strong entrepreneurial drive — comfort operating without a base salary or daily oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to read and sell reimbursement — comfort walking a physician through CPT/HCPCS codes, LCDs, and ASP calculations.
- Ability to learn complex medical terminology, surgical procedures, and technical product information quickly.
- Willingness to travel 60-80% in the field within the assigned territory.
- Comfort working in high-pressure environments such as medical clinics and hospitals.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Must live in the geographic area of the assigned territory or be willing to relocate.
- Catalyst sales team members must be able to meet third-party credentialing requirements where required, which may include but are not limited to COVID-19 vaccination.
Compensation
The Territory Director Compensation Plan pays a percentage of Catalyst's gross profit (net margin) on invoices paid in the assigned sales territory and accounts. This is a 100% variable, commission-only contract — there is no base salary.
Commission rates are tiered by product category and are detailed in Schedule A of the Compensation Plan. Schedule A is a living document — commission rates and product categorizations may be updated by Catalyst with written notice to align with new product launches, category economics, and other business changes. As of the current Plan Period, the tiers are:
- 30% tier — Skin Substitutes
- 40% tier — NS100, Regen/Aurix PRP, Omeza, RAE RPM Device, Microdoc, Preventogen, NWPT, Hydrograbber
Commissions are calculated on a two-week period and paid bi-monthly on the 5th and 20th of each month for the prior period's earnings. If the 5th or 20th falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is made the next business day. Calculation is based on net sales — gross sales less credit card processing fees, shipping and handling, and other applicable charges — with the applicable Schedule A rate applied to gross profit on the invoices paid in that period.
Average earning potential for Territory Directors selling across the Catalyst portfolio earn $250,000 to $500,000+ annually. Monthly expense budget for marketing expenses, including printed materials is 600/month. There is no reimbursement for mileage or phone.
Pay: $250,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
