Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduled routes transporting product to and from customer locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires customer service skills, and the ability to navigate safely and efficiently. The Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding the company's reputation.
Schedule
- Start time can be adjusted somewhat to fit the needs of the Driver as long as it is consistent week to week.
- Daily schedule varies slightly due to routes, but is consistent week-to-week.
- Fridays generally off, and only used as a flex day for weather events, making up short hours or (rarely) special deliveries, depending on the workload from the week.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicle (standard pickup truck) to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load, unload, and secure all items to be transported.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, maintaining a high level of customer service throughout the process.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, logs, and any required documentation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices and route navigation is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients during deliveries.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
- Clean driving record is exceptionally important.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
