Job Summary
The Controller-Level Accountant is a full-time role based in the Bethlehem, PA area. This role oversees general ledger accounting, period-end closings, and preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining robust internal controls, reconciling accounts, managing cash flow forecasts, and supporting budgeting and financial planning activities. The role also involves coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and optimizing accounting processes and systems. The Controller-Level Accountant collaborates closely with leadership across finance and operations to provide analytical insights, support strategic initiatives, and ensure timely, transparent financial information.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years in financial accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, month-end close, and preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, including variance analysis and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and financial software; advanced skills in spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
- Background in internal controls, audit support, and regulatory compliance within financial services or a related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in a controller, assistant controller, or senior accounting role, ideally within mortgage, banking, or capital markets environments.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive workplace practices.
- The ability to elevate management reporting and provide CFO-level analytical support.
- Interest in a role that begins with AiCR-related accounting responsibilities but expands into broader finance leadership.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
