Position Summary
NGK-Locke, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-voltage transmission insulators, is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, manufacturing experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, supervising employees, maintaining productivity standards, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of approximately 25–30 employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
This is a 3rd Shift position, with a regular schedule of Sunday at 11:00 PM through Friday at 7:15 AM. Candidates must be willing and able to work overnight hours and provide leadership support during off-shift operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a production team of approximately 25–30 employees.
- Ensure daily production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
- Provide leadership, coaching, training, and motivation to production personnel.
- Address employee performance concerns and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Monitor productivity and implement improvements to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate production activities and expedite workflow to minimize downtime.
- Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and employee development.
QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including areas with elevated temperatures.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
