THE OPPORTUNITY
The Delray Beach Club is looking for a Sushi Cook
THE ROLE OF THE DINING ROOM RUNNER/BUSSER
The Sushi Cookis responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, including sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other traditional Japanese cuisine. The ideal candidate has a passion for Japanese culinary traditions, attention to detail, knife skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Prepare sushi dishes including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, hand rolls, and specialty rolls
· Ensure freshness and proper handling of raw fish and seafood
· Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene
· Set up and stock sushi bar with all necessary supplies
· Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs
· Follow all health and safety guidelines in accordance with local regulations
· Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely and accurate food service
· Assist with cleaning, maintenance, and organization of the sushi prep area
· Innovate and contribute to new sushi menu items when needed
- Cleans dining room areas.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Must have Sushi experience in a fast paced environment.
- Private Country Club or Hospitality experience is preferred.
- Must have open availability/flexible schedule – Weekends, Evenings, and holidays.’
- Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
