PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Responds in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and therapies. Preforms assigned Spa cosmetology therapies on guests utilizing various modalities and assuring the enjoyment and satisfaction of spa guests. Direct all efforts toward guest satisfaction, the achievement and maintenance of all the spa standards and profit maximization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs consultation, therapy analysis and verbal communication with every guest seeking cosmetology therapies.Solicit information regarding medical conditions that may be impacted by therapy.
- Preforms all therapies for which training has been received in the allotted time period.
- Maintain services within the state guidelines of the Cosmetologist license.Preform Bridal Hair and Makeup Sessions, Air Brush Makeup, and Makeup Sessions.
- Preform Bridal consultations for future services, hands on or consult with bride to plan the future services.
- Sanitize all areas of treatment room to protocol including all instruments, tools, appliances used for therapies.
- Fresh linens are to be used for every guest.
- Promote and sell spa retail merchandise
- Maintain fully stocked therapy rooms.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Maintains good customer relations by answering questions and taking care of customer concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
- Responds in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services. Respond to guest inquiries regarding spa reservations, therapy descriptions, and guest concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Certification from a college, technical school or accredited facility in Cosmetology; and three to six months related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding the process of guest therapies at the spa.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be certified and licensed Illinois Cosmetologist.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Use of hands, fingers, and arms is required. Job frequently requires standing, walking, bending, and crouching.
HOURS
Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on the season, hours may be reduced at any time.
Pay starting at $9.00 p/hour, automatic gratuity, and commission.
