Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of flooring materials across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring precise installation and high-quality finishes. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying primers or adhesives as needed for optimal flooring adhesion
- Install various flooring materials including vinyl, hardwood, tile, carpet, and laminate with precision and attention to detail
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure flooring components according to specifications
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials, caulking seams, trimming edges, and installing fixtures or cabinetry
- Follow all building installation safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction fields with knowledge of multiple flooring types including epoxy floors, hardwoods, tiles, vinyl, carpets, and concrete finishing
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and building material installation techniques
- Proficient in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) safely and effectively
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly while maintaining safety standards
- Experience with water damage restoration or floor care is a plus
- Knowledge of building installation safety compliance regulations and best practices in the construction industry
- Additional skills such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, remodeling experience or handyman skills are advantageous
