Front Desk Receptionist, Medical Office
We are a busy and growing Foot & Ankle surgeon’s office seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for checking patients in and out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and helping create a professional, welcoming experience for every patient.
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced physician practice. Experience with eClinicalWorks is strongly preferred.
This position may rotate between two Dallas office locations, so reliable transportation and flexibility to work at both locations are required.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients with professionalism, warmth, and excellent customer service

Check patients in and out for appointments

Answer and manage high-volume phone calls

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments

Verify insurance benefits and update patient information as needed

Collect co-pays, balances, and other patient payments

Assist patients with basic billing questions and route more complex questions appropriately

Scan, import, and organize patient documents

Monitor and respond to incoming emails, faxes, and patient-related messages

Assist with post-visit follow-up tasks, including submitting orders, sending documentation, and helping ensure patients receive next-step instructions

Help maintain an organized front office workflow

Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA standards at all times

Work closely with providers, medical assistants, and other team members to support a smooth patient experience

Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience in a medical office front desk or receptionist role

eClinicalWorks experience strongly preferred

Strong understanding of insurance benefits and patient registration

Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

Comfortable working in a busy physician office

Professional, dependable, and willing to help the team where needed

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and accurate typing

Ability to communicate clearly with patients, providers, and coworkers

Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy standards

Reliable transportation and ability to rotate between two Dallas office locations, if needed

Office Hours
Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM
