Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic Kirby Pines team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment across our facilities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that all areas are kept in top condition, supporting the overall efficiency and appearance of our operations. Duties
- Perform public area maintenance: Keeps lobby, driveways and high traffic common areas clean, tidy and free of clutter
- Assist residents with hanging pictures and moving furniture
- Set up and breakdown of company functions
- Assist with general facilities such as repairing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and addressing minor repairs
- Support industrial cleaning projects by handling specialized tasks like deep cleaning equipment or large-scale sanitation efforts
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to support property upkeep and improvements
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and replenished
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential environments
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing for various flooring types
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and efficiently
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
