Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming using straight razors and other tools.
- Perform hair coloring, hair extensions, and hair styling to meet client preferences.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Utilize salon management software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding client needs, offering expert advice on hair care products, and upselling retail items.
- Communicate clearly with clients about service options, aftercare instructions, and product recommendations.
- Mentor junior team members and assist with front desk duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in barbering and hairstyling.
- Proficiency with salon software like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Expertise in hair coloring techniques and color theory to achieve desired results.
- Skilled in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading for diverse client needs.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform retail math for upselling products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
