Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in the production of menu items that our customers look forward to, and ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, willingness to learn, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Responsibilities
- Prepare various ingredients for cooking by utilizing various kitchen equipment.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, cleanliness, and organization in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
- Perform dishwashing as needed for cookware.
- Preparation of sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, juices, and coffee (Deli Associate only).
Skills
- Training is provided.
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is useful.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
