We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion to teach for our after school music program. Sistema Utah is partnered with American Preparatory Academy to offer music classes for free to under-resourced students. Patterned after the El Sistema movement that originated in Venezuela, it is our hope to empower our students for social change.
Mentors assist elementary grades (1-6) students with most subjects in an after school classroom setting. There are three periods daily each 40 minutes in duration. Bilingual (English/Spanish) not required, but will be given preference.
Hours (Part Time): Monday - Friday. Please find the schedule below.
M, T, F 3:15 pm-7:00 pm; W, Th 2:15 pm-6:00 pm
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS- Proficiency in writing, math and Google applications (docs, sheets, forms, etc)- Bi-lingual preferred, but not required- Reliability, punctuality and patience- Effective communication skills- Effective study skills and techniques
