Position Summary
As a Manager in Training at E.W. Wylie, you will participate in a structured rotational program designed to develop future leaders within our operations teams. This role provides hands-on experience across key functional areas including account management, fleet operations, and brokerage. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of transportation and logistics operations while building the leadership, communication, and decision-making skills necessary to advance into long-term leadership opportunities within the organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Operations Training // Rotate through multiple functions including account management, fleet operations, and brokerage to build a well-rounded operational foundation
- Customer Support // Deliver high-quality service and maintain strong relationships with customers and professional drivers
- Logistics Coordination // Assist with load planning, capacity management, and operational problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Account Management // Support customer retention efforts and contribute to long-term business relationships
- Fleet Operations // Participate in driver services and fleet support activities to ensure operational efficiency
- Leadership Growth // Develop communication, decision-making, and leadership skills through hands-on experience
- Professional Development // Participate in required training programs and pursue continuous learning opportunities

Minimum Qualifications
An associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.

- Technical Knowledge // Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
- Industry Experience // Experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, sales, or account management
- Leadership Experience // Demonstrated leadership through work, internships, athletics, military service, volunteer work, or academic involvement
- Team Environment // Experience working in a collaborative team setting
- Systems Experience // Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM platforms, or similar business tools
Salary and Schedule
- Salary // Pay will be decided based on experience.
- Work Schedule // Full-Time; On-Site; Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
