Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers, including refrigerated, dry van, will be essential to our success. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission or Automatic across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Ensuring cargo integrity and security
- Transport a variety of freight types.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while maintaining compliance with Hours of Service regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries, providing exceptional customer service
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating tractor-trailers in various conditions
- 2 years of OTR experience.
- Experience driving in winter Conditions.
- Knowledge of load securing techniques and freight handling procedures for diverse cargo types.
- Strong understanding of route planning and navigation tools for route driving efficiency
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive safety mindset
